Breaking: Isi-Uzo council boss, Obeagu receives performance award
The Isi-Uzo Local Government Chairman, Barr. Obiora Obeagu had on Friday in Abuja received the Nigerian Local Government Chairmen Merit Award, LOGMA.
The award ceremony which was organized by the Mentors Communication Limited was presented to the council boss who was represented by his Secretary, Barr. Azubuike Odoh as one of the best performing local government chairmen in Nigeria.
According to the organizers, Barr. Obeagu had unarguably contributed immensely in the development of Isi-Uzo local council in Enugu State, maintaining that his leadership style had engendered peace, unity and progress in the council area.
Presenting the award, the Chairman of the occasion, as well as the Minister for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon. Zaphaniah Jisalo, represented by the Director, Inter-governmental Affairs, Mrs Patience Ehujor lauded Hon. Obeagu leadership style, describing him as a capacity-filled young man who thinks nothing but how to transform the lives of his people.
“Hon. Obiora Obeagu, you are specially recognized because of your exemplary leadership style in Isi-Uzo local council. We appreciate all you have been doing and urge you to keep it up. Don’t relent in your pursuit for good governance and I pray that God will give you the strength to do more wonderful works for your people,” she said.
Mr. Obeagu, however thanked the organizers for finding him worthy of receiving the award and promised to continue his good works to the people of Isi-Uzo.
