Breaking: Edeoga devastated as Odengene floors him at Appeal Court

…accuses Court, Labour Party of connivance

…says supporters ready for violence and self-help

The embattled governorship candidate of Labour Party in Enugu State, Chief Chijioke Edeoga has once again, been floored at the Court of Appeal by Captain Evarest Nnaji popularly known as Odengene.

Chief Edeoga’s suit seeking to be joined as an interested party, in an appeal recently filed at the court by Labour Party, was thrown out for lack of merit, gross incompetence and being out of time.

Recall that a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had sacked Edeoga as the governorship candidate of Labour Party in Enugu State in a suit filed by Odengene challenging his unlawful exclusion in the primary and the processes that led to Edeoga’s emergence as the party’s candidate.

Reacting to the judgment of the Court of Appeal delivered on Friday by the justices of the court, Edeoga, who was visibly shattered and devastated over the news, accused the court and his party of conniving to scheme him out, adding that, “you can see the justice system we have in Nigeria. They’ve bought the unfortunate judgment. Moneybag politicians who used their aircraft name to purchase their form had bribed the party and the court.

“This daylight robbery, black market judgment must not be allowed to stand by Ndi Enugu. We will not take the judgment. This does not represent the yearnings of our people,” Edeoga said.

Chief Edeoga who further threatened that his supporters were ready to take to the streets and resort to violence to force the court to do the needful, added that those who refused peaceful handover are inviting trauma and violence in the state.

“I want to make it clear this night that we will have no option than to occupy the streets of Enugu and force justice out of this craze.

“Our people can longer take this. Our supporters are ready to make the state ungovernable for those that have refused to yield to justice. When we start reacting across the state, nobody should blame anybody because people cannot just wake up and rob us of what belongs to us,” Edeoga fumed.
