BREAKING: Supreme Court will sack Tinubu, PEPT justices compromised with huge bribe – Edeoga

…denies commending judgment, insists Obi won

Following the verdicts of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) dismissing the petitions brought before it by the presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the Allied Peoples Movement, Chichi Ojei challenging the victory of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress in the February 25 presidential election, the governorship candidate of Labour Party in Enugu State, Hon. Chijioke Edeoga, has assured the party’s supporters that the Supreme Court would kick president Tinubu out of office in a matter of time, saying Tinubu remains an illegal occupant of Aso Villa who must go.

The PEPT had, Wednesday, dismissed all the petitions brought against President Tinubu on the ground that they were unfounded, hearsay, and unmeritorious since the political parties and their candidates were unable to adduce cogent evidence to prove their claims against the election that produced the president.

In a unanimous judgment by the justices of the Court of Appeal, the tribunal had held that the parties had failed to provide sufficient evidence to show certificate forgery, over-voting, non-compliance with the provisions of the electoral act, suppression of votes and non-qualification of President Tinubu for the office.

According to justice Haruna Tsammani, Chairman of PEPT, who read the lead judgment, “The petitioners failed to prove allegations of corrupt practices and over-voting”, adding that “The petitioners failed to specify the polling units where they alleged that rigging took place in the country”.

“The petitioners failed to provide any credible evidence to prove their allegations of suppression of votes in their strongholds.

“The electoral commission was not bound to transmit results electronically.

“Failure to upload the photographic copies of polling unit results in real time did not invalidate the election,” the tribunal added.

Reacting to the decision of the tribunal, Edeoga lamented that the justices had received huge sum of money and other incentives as bribe to give judgment in favour of APC and the president, saying “Tinubu can never be Nigeria president because the Supreme Court will soon sack him”.

He denied reports on social media that he endorsed the judgment, stressing that Tinubu remains an illegal occupant who would soon be ejected from the presidential villa.

Hon. Edeoga, who is presently at the tribunal challenging the victory of governor Peter Mbah of the PDP, bemoaned yesterday’s judgment as a broad day rape on democracy by the Court of Appeal justices.

He said Mr Peter Obi would reclaim his stolen mandate at the Supreme Court and sack the APC and its presidential candidate whom he described as a drug peddler, certificate forger, and an ex-convict in the US court.

“Our great party remains Labour Party and Nigerians know we won the elections both at the state and the federal levels. Yesterday’s verdict did not represent the true position of the law. The justices can collect bribe and compromise the process, but our supporters should be confident that the Supreme Court will soon sack APC and their president.

“A drug peddler and an ex-convict cannot superintend over the affairs of 200 million Nigerians. We have already rejected the scripted judgment in its entirety and our president, His Excellency, Peter Obi, has commenced the process of appealing the charade of yesterday.

“The only president we have today is His Excellency, President Peter Obi of the Labour Party. Tinubu could buy INEC and the PEPT judges but he cannot buy the Supreme Court. We will win at the court. We are occupying Nigeria and that day, we will order our people to occupy the court.

“Our supporters are seeing the injustice in the system. What happened yesterday was unacceptable. His Excellency, Peter Obi is the last man to beat. He clearly won the election by landslide before the INEC raped our nation’s democratic institutions and declared someone convicted of hard drugs, certificate forgery, and unfit the president.

“The whole world can see how the court is making mockery of our judiciary because of bribery. Even the report of the European Union on the election was enough to sack Tinubu in the first place. Our people must watch out the cases in Enugu, Lagos and other states with Labour Party presence. We will not accept anything short of victory. Those who make peaceful transition impossible are courting for violent transition. All eyes are on Africa. The military is gradually taking over, and the case of Nigeria will not be an exception if the Supreme Court behaves funny,” Hon. Edeoga further stressed.
